When I first arrived on campus of the Immaculate Heart of Mary School in January of 2005, my intention was to hold a part time teaching position while investigating future options. Options that were going to be bigger. Options that were going to be better. Options that were clearly going to make a much bigger difference than my teaching at this school was going to make. The Immaculate Heart of Mary School was a temporary stomping ground meant only to provide a small wage while exploring what I was really meant to do. I can say with all certainty that while teaching math and science to what was once a classroom full of strangers, God certainly did help me find my future options. They were all there right in front of me. My future options were the students of IHM.
We are introducing our “Hybrid Homeschooling” program beginning with
the fall 2017 school year. You can now send your homeschooled child to
one or more of our classes. Here is what we offer:
American History II
Music: Music Theory (1st quarter only)
Music: Fiddle or Choir (2nd to 4th quarter)
For more information or to enroll your child, contact Brad Grinstead.
Here at Immaculate Heart of Mary School, we strive to keep tuition as low as possible without sacrificing the quality of education our students receive. We also aim to allow for any child to have access to an education that feeds both mind and soul. However, we still have families that cannot afford the tuition. Many of our students come from large families with limited budgets.
Our goal is not to turn any child away because of finances in the 2017-2018 school year. We need your help. If we reach our goal of $20,000, we will offer fourteen full or partial scholarships to families in need in the next calendar school year.
We know that this is a lofty goal, but with your help we can do it.
This newsletter is dedicated to all of those who in one way or another support our Immaculate Heart of Mary School. It is quite obvious to me that without all of your help we could not persevere through the test of time.
I sat up one dark and cold morning trying to come up with an adequate description of the importance of the integral role you play at IHM. It then hit me; I will use the human body.
Work with me, I am a science guy after all.
Above all, the Holy Spirit is the air we all breathe to keep all systems operating. Without that vital breath of life, we would have absolutely no goodness to be celebrating.
The parents can be compared to the heart of our children’s lives that on a daily basis pump goodness into each and every student.
Our benefactors can be compared to the spine holding...
